History
Sirena Bay is a crescent-shaped beachfront bay spanning just over 1.5 acres boasting over 150 meters of shoreline including a public and small private beach. At the heart of this bay stands a historic Mediterranean villa with 11 suites. Originally built in 1969 as a beloved family residence and in later years as a small family run bed and breakfast hotel.
The name Sirena Bay originates from a story told from a mother to a daughter about the magical waters where the mermaids play and this has evolved into today’s well known landmark and tourist destination.
Following many years of neglect and decay the property was acquired from a renowned Famagusta family by P. P. Madellas Estates Ltd a company part of the Love Property Group. The owner, a Greek Cypriot whose passion was to sympathetically restore the original villa and its grounds.
Adjacent to The Beach House is the iconic Sirena Bar and restaurant, which has welcomed patrons for over 50 years. What started as a simple beach bar has evolved over the years into one of Cyprus’ most trendy bar and restaurant during the summer months.
